When you consider my extensive background in electrical, electronic and mechanical systems, you can only imagine how it hurts my head from time to time. That aside, I do feel there are ballance issues with the electrical system as well. Is it possible you forgot about it and then it ran out of fuel? I'm not sure that shade actualy matters at the moment. The only way I can see, without some glitch involved, you getting 2.4 is with a gen. I have noticed that the rounding process varies acording to the number of panels you have so 1.5 is most likely right based on past observations of my array. Move them back? move them all? move the whole thing?Ġ.0799 x 1.25 (25% upgrade) = 0.099875. What do you think I should do with the panels I have? to try and retreive that lost power? I'll have to have alot more solar panels I can see that straightaway, which means I need alot of days just hunting crates, and no more expansion of power, or solar panels till I have restocked. I'm pretty low on resources now using alot of spare elec parts for mass, and not collecting while I battle hunters daily, build and place a dozen BCU's to get light here or there. We all know how little they give for all the work and resources for each one.Īnd it looks like ♥♥♥♥♥ with BCU's every dam where to relay power.Īnd then this setback when I moved a few solar panels out of the shade and into the sun, power goes down? Solar panels, power needed, power received from them has been on my list for quite awhile. Put them back in the shade?, or that wont work now because I moved them now? So leave them where you put them in the first place, is that the lesson here? just add more? even though theyre in the sun now, AND I added another one, I have alot less power. The only thing I can think of is I put them there before I built the tower and the game was ignoring the shade and just giving it what ever it had been giving before the tower went up, and when I moved them it screwed all that up somehow. This has happened before where the solar panels have gone whack-a-do but never saw a difference like this, and adding another panel + moving several out of the shade. yes, theyre all within the blue BCU sphere. before it was 2.4, and that was 1 less solar panel and some were in the shade. I went down and checked and kept checking for several more days and the max peak output is only 1.5 now. I went ahead and added the 16th solar panel and upgraded it on the spot, and built an addition to my 'solar farm', and moved the last ones in each row that were in the shade of the tower so they were also getting full sun from sunup to sundown. Still they were supplying the 2.4 I spoke of. Now I was getting peak 2.4 from these 15 solar panels and when I went to put another on the roof, I noticed some at the end of each row, some panels were in the shadow of the tower on the cabin until the sun was almost midday. and like windows- adhesive now.Īnyways, back to power, Ive had alot of games in which the solar panels give a wide variety of power. like making a grenade the ingredients are very high. I could see the sinew to build, but not the 20 elec parts. Solar panels also now require adhesive, after adding sinew before, now its another ingredient-Īdhesive. 20 iron, 10 copper, and power mass of course. again power an mass.Īnd solar panel upgrade is 3 more sinew, and 2 metal ingots for the first upgrade. 20! elec parts, 15 copper, sinew, metal, and now adhesive. and then, theres when I drain power to make things, its not just for lights.īad enough to make, each panel requires a ton of resources for just one. I could run overnight on the 5k power I have, but the solar panels wont recharge it to that during the day. I need alot more solar panels, theyre output is pitifully off balance too. the floodlights use a ton of power, it's about 3.63 - 4.+ drain of power.Īnd my measly 16 solar panels all with first upgrade dont charge back up to 5k given all day of sun. Two generators supplement the power and it still goes down rapidly. If I turn on everything my max power of 5000 is soon drained barely making it to dawns light. the towers requires a BCU about every two floors. I use simple base lights in the two towers, and around doorways on walls here and there, and of course in cabin. I use floodlights on a stand to light the way to the walls which are very far out, and more floodlights on the walls at points Hunters attack. I might have a flood on each side of cabin, thats about it.īut this game Ive been playing around with that, now having 17 BCU's tied together to a main, and 1 distractor. Ive never strung 50 BCU's across a compound for power everywhere. Seems what this game becomes is more and more and more power.
